A weekend-sized plan for travellers who live outside the Klang Valley, or for visitors who want two easy days in the capital before a longer Malaysian trip.

The sample schedule keeps driving to a minimum by using the LRT and MRT between areas, with a private car only for the Batu Caves morning.

There is also a half day left open for a theme park, aquarium or shopping mall visit, depending on who is travelling.

Sample day-by-day itinerary

The order of visits can change depending on weather, opening hours and traffic.

1. Day 1

   Arrival and city landmarks

   • Check in at a city hotel within walking distance of the LRT.
   • Afternoon at KLCC park and the Twin Towers area.
   • Evening at Jalan Alor for street food.
2. Day 2

   Batu Caves and heritage quarter

   • Early morning private transfer to Batu Caves to avoid the heat and crowds.
   • Return via the Merdeka 118 area and Merdeka Square.
   • Afternoon at Central Market and Petaling Street.
   • Optional evening visit to the KL Tower observation deck.
3. Day 3

   Free morning and departure

   • Free time for a theme park, aquarium or shopping mall, depending on preference.
   • Transfer to the airport or continue with another Trip Sahabat package.

• Traffic in the Klang Valley can be heavy; the plan uses rail where possible.
• Observation deck tickets are usually timed entry and must be booked in advance in practice.
