A compact island escape designed for travellers who want beach time without giving up culture. Three nights in the south keep you close to the airport and the surf beaches.

Two nights in Ubud add rice terraces, art markets and a slower pace, with a private car and driver on tour days so the driving is comfortable.

Temple sunsets at Tanah Lot and Uluwatu are the highlights, with a free afternoon left open for a spa or beach club visit.

Sample day-by-day itinerary

The order of visits can change depending on weather, opening hours and traffic.

1. Day 1

   Kuala Lumpur – Denpasar – South Bali

   • Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport and transfer to the beach hotel.
   • Evening free to walk the beach path and try a local warung dinner.
2. Day 2

   Uluwatu and Tanah Lot temples

   • Morning free, then a drive to Uluwatu Temple on the southern cliffs.
   • Kecak dance performance at sunset (optional in this sample plan).
   • Continue to Tanah Lot for the second sunset viewpoint of the day, or swap the order depending on traffic.
3. Day 3

   Transfer to Ubud via Tegenungan

   • Stop at Tegenungan Waterfall and a coffee plantation on the way north.
   • Check in at Ubud and walk the Campuhan Ridge path in the late afternoon.
   • Evening free around the Ubud art market and palace.
4. Day 4

   Rice terraces and optional island trip

   • Morning at the Tegalalang rice terraces and a village swing viewpoint.
   • Optional Nusa Penida day trip by fast boat for travellers who prefer the coastline.
   • Free evening for a Balinese massage in Ubud.
5. Day 5

   Ubud – Denpasar – Kuala Lumpur

   • Final morning at the market before the transfer back to the airport.
   • Return flight to Kuala Lumpur.

• Traffic in south Bali can be heavy; touring days are planned with buffer time.
• Temple visits require covered shoulders and a sarong, which is usually provided or rentable.
• The optional Nusa Penida trip involves a fast boat crossing and can be rough in the wet season.
